First edition. With half-title, hand coloured frontispiece and additional engraved pictorial title by Cruikshank. Illustrated with a hand-coloured folding plate of the field of Waterloo, 2 engraved folding maps (one printed in green, one in b&w), and 25 full-page aquatint plates all hand-coloured. With “Flight of Buonaparte” as frontispiece (instead of "Waterloo, in Memory of the Heroic Deeds of Shaw”). Lacking plate 26 (Portraits of the General Officers) and (as in most copies) the double-page plate "View of the City of Brussels", which is not even mentioned in the "Description of Plates”.
