Verve: Couleur de Bonnard

Issue devoted to the work of Pierre Bonnard. Two original, signed in the stone lithographs (cover and frontispiece) by Bonnard printed by Mourlot. Illustrated throughout with reproductions of works by the artist in colour and b/w.

The Verve review was a luxurious, modernist Parisian art magazine published between 1937 and 1960. It sought to bring the works of the emergent Modernist and Surrealist painters to a wider public. Only 38 editions were published, due to the high degree of design and editorial work dedicated to each issue. Each edition contained unique lithographic prints.
